U.S. Air Force Major Michael Kuzmuk, a pilot assigned to the18th Aggressor Squadron, completes pre-flight checks prior to departure. The squadron, based out of Fairbanks, Alaska, is participating in Exercise Valiant Shield onboard Andersen Air Force base, Guam. Exercise Valiant Shield is a biennial field exercise with a primary focus on interoperability and integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
