Dusty J. Louviere, a specialist with the Louisiana Army National Guard's C Company, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team's Special Troops Battalion, pulls cable down the perimeter wall of the Victory Base Complex in Baghdad. The signal company began running phone line to replace the existing "crank phones" and radios, which will not only increase communication time to the BDOC, but also reduce the man-power needed to operate, update and maintain radios at towers on the VBC in Iraq to help set the installation up for success in the absence of U.S. troops.
