Tour participants include crew members assigned to USS America (LHA 6) and USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), both homeported in San Diego and docked in Los Angeles Harbor for the duration of Fleet Week festivities. Fleet week offers the public an opportunity to meet Sailors, Marines, and members of the Coast Guard and gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas.
