Garrison volunteered to deploy with the Louisiana National Guard's 1-141st Field Artillery Battalion, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to set the conditions for the responsible drawdown of U.S. armed forces and equipment in Iraq.
