Recruits from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, retrieve a gear bag during pick up at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 26. The recruits are now on the drill instructors’ time, and if they don’t complete a task quickly they will endure other tasks to reinforce timeliness. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 18.
