Marine Corps Reserve Center Brooklyn is dedicated as the Curtin Garvey Complex during a rememberance ceremony to honor Sgt. Maj. Michael S. Curtin and Gunnery Sgt. Matthew D. Garvey, Aug. 30, 2016. Curtin and Garvey were Reserve Marines who as first responders gave their lives to save others on September 11, 2001. The remembrance ceremony is being held in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Centennial, celebrating 100 years of service and selfless dedication to the nation.
