Connie Roth, Women Veterans Program Manager, works in her office on the main campus of the Veterans Affairs Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines, Iowa. Roth was hired as the program manager in 2008, two years before the Des Moines campus opened their first brick and mortar women’s clinic to treat women veterans in a private, safe and comfortable atmosphere where all the staff and patients are female.
