First Lieutenant Jeremy Dunbar, C-5 Galaxy pilot for the 22nd Airlift Squadron, and Technical Sgt. Timothy Shaw, percussionist, U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West, greet the President of the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade, Mr. Brad Ratliff, Travis AFB, Calif., Aug. 12, 2016. Ratliff, and his wife, Susan, visited Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Aug. 12, to present the Tournament of Roses flag to the U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West. The U. S. Air Force Band of the Golden West is one of only two military units marching in the 128th Tournament of Roses Parade. Ratliff took the opportunity to join the trumpet section to practice along with the band during a rehearsal session. The tour also included a static display of a C-5M Super Galaxy, the 621st Contingency Response Wing “line of fire” demonstration, a C-5 M simulator experience, and a visit to the Control Tower.
