Route Clearance Package team, RCP-30, part of A Company, Special Troops Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team cleared the way for the 173rd's Dark Horse's convoy from Forward Operating Base Kherwar to FOB Altimur, May 7. The troopers and combat engineers of this RCP team encountered multiple improvised explosive devices along the way, eliminated an insurgent, captured an insurgent triggering the IEDs and brought a wounded girl to receive medical care.
