U.S. Air Force emergency medical technicians from Joint Base Andrews, Md., provide a victim with the basic life support during the 2016 EMT Rodeo at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., Aug. 25, 2016. Treatment techniques such as monitor and care for an airway while suctioning vomitus, evaluation for a need of an advanced airway, and defibrillating the patient were tested throughout the rodeo. The teams were required to execute their life saving mission under the critical eye of expert evaluators, demonstrating accurate technique and effective implementation.
