BLYTHE, Calif. (August 16, 2016) - Lance Cpl.’s Edward Achondo Jr. and Maxx Millie, role playing as evacuees, provide identifying information to Marines inside an evacuation control center during a noncombatant evacuation operation as part of 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Composite Training Unit Exercise in Blythe, California. The MEU's mission is to provide a rapid-response force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and selected maritime special operations from the sea, by surface or air assets.
