The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Sherman offloads pallets of cocaine at Naval Base San Diego on August 18, 2016. Approximately 11 tons of cocaine was seized during 15 separate interdictions in the Eastern Pacific. Operation Martillo is a joint, interagency and multinational collaborative effort to deny transnational criminal organizations air and maritime access to the littoral regions of the Central American isthmus.
