Four competitors begin the first loop of a 12-km race at the Chief of the National Guard Bureau Biathlon Championship, Feb. 29, 2016, in Camp Ripley, Minnesota. The competition is held in either Minnesota or Vermont every year and has attracted teams from up to 30 states. South Dakota took a 10-person team - its largest ever - to the competition this year.
