Staff Sgt Christopher J. Rebollar, drill instructor, Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, counts the recruits down to finish their given task at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 12. The recruits will spend each day with their drill instructors getting faster and stronger during their transformation into United States Marines. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 4.
