U.S. Marines with Aircraft Recovery assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, prepare the mobile Expeditionary Hover Position Indicator for use on the helicopter runway at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Aug. 9, 2016. The aircraft recovery Marines worked to set up the mobile EHPI to provide pilots from Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 542 an opportunity to recertify in boat-deck landings before departing for other future operations in the Pacific. Home based out of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., VMA-542 is forward deployed as part of the unit deployment program at MCAS Iwakuni and is strengthening their aviation operational skills with the station’s units while abroad.
