Lt. Gary Oakland, 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, presents Maj. Gen. Mark R. Stammer, the incoming deputy commanding general of I Corps, with the first shell casing fired in his honor during a welcome ceremony at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Aug. 9. Stammer joins the I Corps team after commanding the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
