HONOLULU — A wreath bearing the name of 1st Lt. Jack Aldrich is displayed during a wreath laying ceremony, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, July 29, 2016. Marines from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115, "Silver Eagles," paid tribute to Aldric who was the first pilot killed from that squadron. With a long history of participating in almost every major conflict since their formation 73 years ago, VMFA-115 honored their fallen comrade. Marines from VMFA-115, stationed aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., were in Hawaii participating in the Rim of Pacific 2016 exercise, the largest maritime exercise in the world.
