TRZEBIEN, Poland – Command Sgt. Maj. James E. Wafe, command sergeant major of 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, and Command Sgt. Maj. Joel A. Baker, command sergeant major of 3rd Combined Arms Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3ID, address the “Dark Knights” of D Co., 3rd Bn., 69th Arm. Rgmt., following Polish weapon simulation training at Świętoszów Polish Army Base, July 29. The Dark Knights, stationed out of Fort Stewart, Ga., are here in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and enduring peace and stability in the region.
