160726-N-KH151-080 YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 26, 2016) – Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Daniel Livas, from Fruitland, Idaho, meets his daughter for the first time during USS Ronald Reagan’s (CVN 76) homecoming to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group conducted 53 days of strike group operations in the western Pacific, including the waters south of Japan, the Philippine Sea and the South China Sea, to improve combat readiness, develop cohesion as a strike group and engage its partners in the region. The Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
