160726-M-ND832-010 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII, Hawaii (July 26, 2016) – A C-130 crewmaster with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (call sign SUMO), Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, which supports III Marine Expeditionary Force, secures cargo on an aircraft at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Hawaii, July 26, 2016. The Marines are participating in Rim of the Pacific 2016, a multinational exercise, from June 29 to Aug. 8 in and around the Hawaiian Islands. During RIMPAC, VMGR-152 crew members are responsible for preparing aircraft for flight, on loading and offloading cargo, and ensuring the safety of passengers and other crew members. Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
