Donna Jones, planning director for Chenango County, reflects on her father's honorable discharge documents and Purple Heart medal received after his service in the Army during WWII. Jones personal connection to the military is what inspired her to help bring the Innovative Readiness Training event to the Greater Chenango Cares area. Greater Chenango Cares is one of the IRT events that provide real-world training in a joint civil-military environment while delivering world-class medical care to the people of Chenango County, N.Y., from July 15-24.
