GULF OF OMAN (July 20, 2016) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Brian Smith monitors the distance between the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) and the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Cesar Chavez (T-AKE 14) during a replenishment at sea. Boxer is the flagship for the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
