Steven Switzer, a KC-135R in-flight refueling technician with the 465th Air Refueling Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., operates the boom July 11, 2016, during an aerial refueling of a Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet over the Pacific Ocean in support of Rim of the Pacific 2016. Switzer and his crew fly and operate KC-135s out of the 507th Air Refueling Wing at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. The 507th ARW is the largest Reserve flying unit in the state of Oklahoma. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Grady Epperly)
