This was the 47th anniversary of the battle that took place from May 10 - 20, 1969, during the Vietnam War. The Kentucky Society Daughters of the American Revolution welcomed home the veterans from the 3rd Battalion and presented them with a certificate to thank them for their faithful service and sacrifice to the country, during the ceremony.
