U.S. Air Force Reserve Staff Sergeants Larry Green and Amber Melgoza-Kulesza, both 944th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle maintenance journeymen, assigned to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., apply linseed oil to trailer planks as part of an airfield damage repair anti-corrosion project, July 7, 2016, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. The anti-corrosion project maximizes the life ADR equipment while saving the Air Force approximately $2-3 million with a $90,000 investment in anti-corrosion materials. Upon completion of Kadena’s ADR program, Air Force leaders plan to use it as a benchmark by which to set a new Air Force standard.
