Teams from the Institute of Marine Mammal Studies keep a pygmy killer whale hydrated while they prep it for release into the Gulf of Mexico, July 11, 2016. Personnel from NOAA, Navy Marine Mammal program and U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Cypress also participated in the mammal’s release.
