U.S. Air Force Capt. Matthew "Beast" Tanis, 493rd Fighter Squadron pilot, shakes hands with Henry Brooks, United Technologies Aerospace Systems President of Interiors, while displaying his certificate of membership of the "Grasshopper Club." The club, which originated in 1976, is currently comprised of 646 aviators who have used the company's escape systems to safely eject from an aircraft.
