A military ceremony taking place on a stage where a U.S. Army soldier in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) is shaking hands with a civilian man in a dark suit. A framed display featuring what appears to be the Minnesota State Seal (dated 1858 with the motto 'L'Étoile du Nord') is prominently positioned between them on an easel. A podium with a red buffalo/bison insignia is visible to the right, along with multiple military and U.S. flags in the background.

Soldiers of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division were celebrated by elected officials and members of the community in a ceremony April 11 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. When the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division left Minnesota for their deployment to Iraq, Tim Pawlenty, the governor of Minnesota presented the unit with a state flag. That flag was returned April 10 at a return ceremony at the Minneapolis Convention Center. "Sir, this flag was proudly flown at the division headquarters in Basra, Iraq for the duration of the tour," said Maj. Gen. Rick Nash, commander of the 34th Inf. Div. "It is a privledge to return it to you and the citizens of Minnesota." (U.S. Army Photo by Spc. J. Princeville Lawrence)
