Cpl. Kyle W. Bagley leads a period of instruction on entry-control points and personnel searchs, June 20, 2016, at Taurama Barracks, Papua New Guinea, during Exercise Koa Moana, as part of Task Force Koa Moana’s deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. Entry-control points are designed to monitor and regulate the influx of personnel into a specific area, such as a military base. Exercise Koa Moana is the first multi-national, bilateral exercise between the Papua New Guinea Defence Force and U.S. Marines directly, designed to increase interoperability and relations by sharing infantry, engineering, medical and law enforcement skills. Bagley, from Canby, Oregon, is a combat engineer with Task Force Koa Moana, originally assigned to Bravo Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
