Sgt. Frances Bird Collins, a Soldier with the New Mexico Army National Guard's 1116th Transportation Company, is participating in the water haul mission in support of those residents unable to leave their livestock on the edges of the Dog Head Fire. Even though a mandatory evacuation has been in place for days, some ranchers chose to accept the risk of staying on their land in the affected Torrance County. The National Guard has been hauling water to some of the tanks and troughs that need to be filled for the welfare of the animals. (Courtesy photo by SFC Francisco Aldridge)
