Wilmington N.C. – Citizen-Soldiers assigned to North Carolina Army National Guard's 690th Brigade Support Battalion set up their base of operations here, 11-23 June, 2016, to command and control over 400 Soldiers across a 130 mile area from Morehead City to Southport. The 690th is participating in Operation Vigilant Seahawk, a an regional domestic operations and homeland security exercise with multiple disaster response missions designed to test and improve the integration of various local, state and federal partners during disaster relief.
