Imua Dawn 2016 provides opportunities for U.S. and Japanese forces to come together and train for potential real world events, better preparing them in supporting regional populations in all Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) and Noncombatant Evacuation Operations (NEO). Training together, the U.S. and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force can further develop tactics, techniques, and procedures that are mutually beneficial and specific to force training requirements and regional needs.
