Daruma Doll: One of the most popular talismans of good luck in modern Japan, the Daruma doll is received upon command. Col. Thirsa Martinez received this Daruma doll, two years ago, when she undertook the duties to lead, motivate and accomplish the MEDDAC-Japan mission. After successfully completing her command, Martinez filled in the other eye of the Daruma doll during the MEDDAC-Japan change of command ceremony was held on June 16 inside the Yano Fitness Center’s gym.
