Auburn Construction Management Program students attend an orientation in 2012 at the university's campus in Auburn, Alabama. From front to back: Alan Bugg, an area engineer at Fort Benning and one of the initiators of the program at the district, Whittni Hiscox, student and directorate of the Contracting Division, and Mark Hiscox, student and contracting specialist on the environmental remediation team. The program blends practical and professional construction education principles for the more than 60 Savannah District professionals who've enrolled since 2009. The degree-awarding program was also promoted to mend information and communication gaps between construction and contracting specialists.
