Construction workers employed by Washington state-based Catworks, LLC, exit the Mount St. Helens' Spirit Lake Output Tunnel Jan. 11, 2016. The Corps' contractor completed interim repairs for the U.S. Forest Service, which owns and manages the tunnel. Inspections in 2015 showed a constriction that could have damaged the outlet if it were not repaired . The Corps actively seeks companies that have the skills and services necessary to complete a variety of projects, many of which are located far from metropolitan areas.
