Maj. Matt Takara, commander 51st Medical Detachment Veterinary Medicine, 248th Medical Detachment Vet. Services, checks an opened mouth of an unconscious young tiger March 24 at the Baghdad Zoo. Takara answered the call from 1st Armored Division, U.S. Division-Center to help Iraqi zoo employees and U.S. forces diagnose the tiger's illness. The cooperation of the zoo workers and U.S. forces are helping create a place of much needed entertainment for the people of Iraq.
