Brig. Gen. Michael Thompson, assistant adjutant general for Oklahoma, offered kind and motivating words to members of 1st Airfield Operations Battalion, 245th Aviation Regiment at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Lexington, Oklahoma on June 5, 2016. Soldiers of the AOB gathered with family and friends in a patriotic send-off before deploying to the Middle East. The unit is trained and equipped to provide air traffic control for military and civilian aircraft.
