Exploring lessons learned from case studies, participants in the May 16 to
19 maritime domain awareness workshop at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific
Center for Security Studie, worked toward establishing common objectives for
increasing information sharing among Southeast Asian nations. The workshop
focused on building capacity to combat illegal, unregulated and unreported
fishing. The event supported the U.S. Department of Defense's Asia-Pacific Maritime Security Strategy.
