U.S. Marine Maj. Charles Buckley receives a Certificate of Retirement and a folded U.S. flag from Lt. Col Stephen Kahn during Buckley’s retirement ceremony aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 20, 2016. Buckley, the communications officer for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, from Woodmere, N.Y., retired from the Marine Corps after 25 years. During his career Buckley deployed to Iraq and with the 15th MEU in addition to serving at Headquarters Marine Corps, earning numerous awards including a Bronze Star.
