U.S. Marine Maj. Charles Buckley is presented a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal by Lt. Col. Stephen Kahn during Buckley’s retirement ceremony aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 20, 2016. Buckley, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s communications officer, from Woodmere, N.Y., retired from the Marine Corps after 25 honorable years. During his career Buckley deployed to Iraq and with the 15th MEU in addition to serving at Headquarters Marine Corps, earning numerous awards including a Bronze Star.
