Portland, Ore. native Spc. Joseph Werner, a fire support specialist with Colt platoon of 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, pulls security at the site of unexploded ordnance in Baghdad. An anti-vehicle mine was discovered by Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division, who then called in an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team. Werners platoon was tasked to provide EOD security escort when their 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Cavalry Division received deployment extension orders. (U.S. Army photo by Spc.
