The Japan Ground Self Defense Force sent five observers to the Jungle Warfare Training Center, to observe U.S. Marine Corps tactics, at Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, May 19, 2016. JWTC is a training area U.S. Marines use to learn the skills to shoot, move and communicate in the environment presented by the jungle. The JGSDF potentially wants to join the Marines on the training base so that the two forces can work together effectively in a jungle terrain. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Jessica N.
