A soldier with the Ukrainian army demonstrates how to create and apply an improvised tourniquet May 14, 2016, during the first combat first-aid course led by Ukrainian instructors 2016 at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center as part as Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine. The three-day training focused on first-aid basic medical tasks in order to treat various types of common injuries utilizing the proper equipment to increase survivability on the battlefield.
