NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 04, 2016) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuels) 3rd Class Franklin Garrett connects a hose to a fuel flushing connection on the flight deck onboard Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). The flushing connection pumps fuel throw the hose to prevent debris from being trapped in the hose for future use.
