Brandishing a paper, 9 mm pistol, Antiterrorism Officer Dave Garrison demonstrates how a person could enter a building with weapons and enough ammunition to ‘clear’ a room during an Active Shooter Exercise. Eerily, this training occurred days before the Washington DC and Maryland areas were placed on lockdown because of multiple, connected shootings in the local area. This very timely exercise illustrated how normalcy could easily turn to chaos in a matter of moments. A man wanted in connection to two deadly shootings in Montgomery County on Friday, May 6, in addition to the shooting death of his estranged wife outside a Prince George's County high school on Thursday May 5, was arrested, according to news reports. Three volunteers who assisted are Emily O’Hara, Anthony Carlisi and Gerrie McClarine.
