160405-N-ZZ999-001 MANILA, Philippines (April 5, 2016) - Chief Equipment Operator James McVicar, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, explains buoyancy compensator maintenance procedures to Armed Forces of the Philippines UCT divers. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Alfa (CDDA) is training the Philippine divers on proper maintenance of dive gear, as well as SCUBA and recompression chamber supervisory skills, during Exercise Balikatan 2016. CDDA is on the third stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
