HOUSTON (April 22, 2016) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District officials estimate the Addicks and Barker reservoirs have prevented $5.1 billion in monetary damages and approximately 24,000 structures from being damaged in Houston during this historic rain event.
