A U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagle approaches a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron during a refueling mission April 20, 2016, near Kadena Air Base, Japan. The 909th ARS is the Pacific Air Forces' "lead force" for air refueling U.S. and allied aircraft during all contingencies in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The squadron accomplishes vital daily aeromedical evacuations for military and civilian members, sometimes transporting patients to as far away as the United States.
