A young boy uses a radio, which was distributed by the U.S. military to help information regarding humanitarian assistance reach Haitian citizens more effectively. The boy currently stays at a shelter for displaced persons. A U.S. Special Operations civil affairs team helped set up a network connecting the shelter with various other non-governmental organizations, the U.N. and local government assets in St. Marc.
