Captain Terence Bacon, outgoing commander of Company A, 7th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, accepts the company guidon from 1st Sgt. Aaron Alexander June 30 at Logistical Support Area Anaconda, Iraq during the change of command ceremony. The passing of the guidon is Army tradition and must be passed from the 1SG, who is the keeper and protector of the guidon, to the outgoing company commander, who then passes it on to the battalion commander.
